For their GCSE fieldwork module, the year 10s visited a field centre in Epping Forest to investigate how rivers change as they travel downstream. The students were taught many fieldwork techniques such as: measuring velocity, river discharge and wetted perimeter. The students had to stand in the river to get their measurements which many were reluctant to do at first! This trip will ensure they have a thorough understanding so they are prepared for their exams next year – Well done year 10!
