Year 8 students went to the Museum of London Docklands last week and took part in a workshop on London’s involvement in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
Students were able to immerse themselves in discussions around language, legacies, and artefacts left behind from this time period.
Students were also able to explore the Exhibition: “London, Sugar & Slavery: 1600-Present” and made notes on their impressions of the artefacts, then shared these with each other afterward.
